First Formal Job:  Staff at Perkins Boy Scout Camp in Wichita Falls, TX as kitchen support at age 14.  Also, worked in archery, reptile studies, and swimming instructor through summer.

Various jobs as teenager including farm work, moving irrigation pipes, hoeing cotton crops, cleaning pig pens,spreading pig manure on fields and working cattle for local farmers in Jayton,Texas.

Employed while high school student by Jayton ISD under Neighborhood Youth Corps  program for various jobs including janitorial duties (buffing floors and cleaning restrooms) and mechanic after school and on Saturdays, also a lifeguard (qualified as a Boy Scout for Scout Lifeguard) and swimming pool attendant during one summer.

Worked as dishwasher, frycook, and bus boy for my grandmother for two summers at  Nob Hill, a restaurant she managed in Ruidoso, NM.  (1964-65)
