Brad D. Faglie, MD received his Bachelor degree in Biology at Stephen F. Austin State University. He attended Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine and then completed a family medicine residency with an emphasis on Advanced Obstetrics at Texas A&M Family Medicine Residency.
Dr. Faglie is Board certified in Family Medicine and is a member of the American Association of Family Physicians, the American Medical Association, and the Texas Medical Association. He is currently serving as President of the Montague-Wise County Medical Association. He is a member of the medical staff of Wise Regional Health System and actively participates on the Ethics and Credentialing committee of the hospital.
Born and raised in Grapevine, Texas. Dr. Faglie and his Wife and two children now reside in Alvord, Texas. His hobbies are expansive and include hunting, traditional archery, classical piano, literature, tobacco pipe making, and yoga. Once monthly he hosts a well-attended diabetic support group at WRHS.
Once diabetic and obese, Dr. Faglie now lives and teaches a philosophy of natural living and eating. Dr. Faglie's favorite personal quote is, "If you can't pick it, peel it, or kill it; you probably shouldn't eat it." Promoting ideal health through lifestyle and dietary change. He always strives to treat the 'whole' patient and encourages his patients not to limit themselves to the 'normal' way of eating and living. That which has led to a stark rise in metabolic disorders such as obesity, diabetes, and heart disease. Dr. Faglie achieved much of his dietary success by questioning the accepted dietary norms and he encourages his patient's to do the same. He is known for his comfortable and comic manner and makes a point to push past professional boundaries for optimal communication with his patients.
